Marriages won’t be successful until you make it a priority. Thanks for reading

Oh wow! This was an amazing and powerful post! I’m definitely going to keep this bookmarked because some points that were made I never really thought about before, but God has been thinking about them and training me in those areas without my knowing.
    Loved it!

Great advice, Prescott! Another cool equation in God’s mathbook is 1+1=1. In other words, we should be looking for ‘out other half.’ We need to be emotionally whole and mature BEFORE we get married. We can’t expect someone else to make us a better person. When God says ‘the two shall become one’ I think he’s reminding us to get our lives together before we attempt to join ourselves to someone else.

This is so important. Don’t look to marriage to complete you. Only God can complete you. Marriage is like getting cupcakes for your birthday. Sure there might be a time where you don’t get any cupcakes but it’s ok cause it’s still your birthday. Being saved is having your birthday every day. Having a cupcake doesn’t hurt though lol. This is SO WONDERFUL (the part about you leaving your daughter at the store, aside; that is where His GRACE steps in) ! Thank you for making me LAUGH again, and for giving great advice. I am a fan of yours!

I also wish I had made a pre-marriage checklist! Although, I don’t think I was mature enough at the time to make a good one. At least I can learn from my failings and hopefully pass on my knowledge with my children should they be called into marriage!

I definitely was not mature that is for sure but I am glad I got some wisdom I can share now with my children and others so they don’t make the same mistakes I made. Thanks for reading
