Really great Prescott! And so true. Your blog is encouraging. “Step out in faith (in God)” is what I hear and I’m reminded of a great song by Zach Williams, “Fear is a Liar”.

    Fear, he is a liar
    He will take your breath
    Stop you in your steps
    Fear he is a liar
    He will rob your rest
    Steal your happiness
Cast your fear in the fire
‘Cause fear he is a liar

Be blessed and continue this awesome work!

Great post. It’s funny how some things though which would seem like huge fears to others (eg some extreme sport) are things which can sometimes be easier to embrace, but the little things which might seem normal to everyone else (but where you might have suffered hurt/ rejection etc) can actually be the more difficult things to overcome. We definitely need to ask God for courage to help us, especially in these areas.

This is so true. My children will go play with wild animals at exhibits where they allow you to touch and I freeze up but they are afraid of the dark without their night light. We are here to help each other get over our fears with God being the ultimate one to help us. and thanks for reading

My middle name used to be “fear”. I had it all my life until I met Jesus. It still tries to creep in but I know who it is. Remembering that God doesn’t give us a spirit of fear is huge! He is my rock and will carry me through.

I used to be one who lived in constant fear. Fear of the future, fear that I was messing up my kids, fear I was disappointing my mother, fear that I wasn’t a good enough wife. It’s amazing how the simple act of trusting God takes it all away.

Trust is tricky but it’s not like God hasn’t come through for us before. And don’t worry I fear all of those things as well except I’m a father lol. Thanks for reading and continue to trust in God

I love this song in addition to “Fear is a Liar”….

    “No Longer Slaves”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8TkUMJtK5k

Like you said, it gives freedom from those irrational fears and helps center me back to reality!
