This is an excellent illustration of weighing the cost of eating the whole cake! Our freedom is a privilege and not license to be selfish!

I did the same thing with Oreos. It took a little longer for me to regret it, but man did I regret it! Just because we have the freedom to do something doesn’t mean that we should. That’s a really good way to put it in a different way so that we can understand.

We all do it and need a reminder that we can choose to do good. Thanks for reading

Thanks for posting. Great analogy with the cake. Sometimes I feel that way even with an ice cream cone even though it’s nowhere near as big as a cake. It’s good to have that list of things we’ve been set free from as a reminder not to go back there. Although, if we do keep returning there, we have to question if we were ever really free of it in the first place and whether we actually surrendered it to God.

That is true. If we truly surrender it to God it should not be a regular occurrence to go back there. Thanks for your thoughts and for reading
